Work methodology ?
my work Methodology
Researching everything about the subject in books, the Internet and any other information sources available. I also search related information about the subject.
Brain stormingAlone or in a group - searching for keywords, ideas & materials.
SketchingDrawing different ideas or concepts on paper -
doing this helps me to find new solutions.
I describe the ideas and sketches in words, listing the main key points of the design.
PlanningCreating a time line of the project, planning all the
elements and itemising each element's progress
to completion.
I usually submit 3 to 5 colour roughs depending on the time limits. After approval from the client I would then start production of the 'working designs' for the project.
Designing the project, creating all the graphic components, layout, and applying copy. During the production I keep in touch with the client with regular email feedback.
Development(Mostly for web and interactive advertisements). Using different software and production techniques I reproduce the design in an interactive environment using various processes.
TestingThe last part before submitting the project is to make sure everything is working correctly, all the elements are in place and there is no copy errors.
Submitting the final productI submit the final project - following the specified criteria.
- Print requisites, (including Press ready PDF's and .EPS files
- CD/DVD'S for multimedia, and upload files to specified servers for web based jobs.
Qualifications
My qualifications include
Four years of training in development and production in graphic design and web design.
During this four year period I completed the basis of the principles and elements of design, and utilised this in a multimedia context. Mastered the different sofware like (photoshop, illustrator, indesign, dreamweawer, flash and working on different projects using applied skills and knowlege.
I have also completed a Certificate III in Graphic Design / Printing and Diploma of Multimedia in Sydney.
